When did you start CrossFit? January 2016 What motivated you to start? I had been doing a boot camp style class and when I moved over here I decided to try CrossFit and found CFTB Favorite WOD (if any): Karen Favorite Olympic lift (if any): Clean and Jerk Goal(s) for the next few months: Become proficient at pull ups and double unders What helps you get through tough WODs? Remembering that feeling early on when I would look at the wod and think I can’t do that and then how I felt leaving saying I did that. Any advice for newbies? You are capable of much more than you think you are.
When did you start CrossFit? January 2013 What motivated you to start? The first time – I joined with a friend. Last year at CFTB – I was the most unhealthy I had ever been in my entire life and realized I needed to make a drastic change. Favorite WOD (if any): Anything with cleans or burpees Favorite Olympic lift (if any): Squat Cleans Goal(s) for the next few months: Hit the 100lb mark and participate in my first competition. What helps you get through tough WODs? I picture myself 70 pounds ago and remind myself that I never want to end up back there. Fighting through is the only way to reach my goals. Any advice for newbies? Everyone has to start somewhere… do NOT compare yourself or your progress to others. Be proud of every accomplishment or sign of progress no matter how small, and continue to set goals for yourself. If you let it, CrossFit will change your life and show you that you are capable of the unimaginable.
